What features come with my email account?

At Webaddress, we provide unique features such as our SpamBoxer anti-spam suite, eReminders, SMS@Me cell phone enabled email addresses and SMS Alerts. We also take the stress out of your email management with our POP Diagnosis, Quota Check and Mailbox Cleanup tools, as well as providing WebMail for easy browser-based mail access. In addition to this, our anti-virus scanning of incoming and outgoing mail gives you greater peace of mind.

You get at least five fully featured email accounts with your site (depending on which hosting package you choose). Each email account will have its own address under your domain (e.g. you@yourname.com). If you like, you can setup your account to have your email forwarded to another email account anywhere on the web.

We set up your main email account so that any mail sent to an unrecognised user at your domain is delivered to your main email address. This can be very useful because it means you can use many different email aliases without actually having to set them up explicitly. You can also give any email account an unlimited number of email aliases so that when mail is sent to, say, an_alias@yourname.com then you will receive the email at, say, colleague@yourname.com (a real mailbox).

Can I access my POP accounts through my browser?

Absolutely. Our Webaddress WebMail system allows you to access your POP accounts through an easy-to-use browser-based interface. No configuration is required, which makes it a perfect tool for people who need to access their POP accounts while travelling. We also provide comprehensive instructions on setting up your mail software to retrieve messages from your POP accounts. Our customer support team is available to assist if you run into problems while setting this up.

Will my server allow me to set up mailing lists?

Yes. All accounts come with Mojo Mail, which allows you to setup and manage a mailing list via your web browser. Additionally, our Corporate Giant account comes with one Majordomo subscribable mailing list with up to 1,000 subscribers.

Majordomo is a program which automates the management of Internet mailing lists. Commands are sent to Majordomo via electronic mail to handle all aspects of list maintenance. Once a list is set up, virtually all operations can be performed remotely, requiring no intervention upon the postmaster of the list site.

Here's a short list of some of the features of Majordomo:

• Supports various types of lists, including moderated lists
• All list management activities are handled by email
• Supports confirmation of subscriptions, to protect against forged subscription requests

How do I get unlimited email addresses @mydomain.com?

All you need to do is signup with OemMail.com. They will then provide you with information about setting up your free web-based email service. OemMail.com will also give you details of the changes we need to make to your site's mail configuration so that you can use their free web-based email service to set up unlimited email addresses @you.com. You simply pass that information on to us and we will make the appropriate DNS changes for free. It's a simple process. Please note that if you use the unlimited email account system from OemMail.com then all your mail will be handled by the OemMail.com servers. That means that your POP accounts on our servers will no longer be active. Similarly, your email aliases, forwarding instructions, cell phone enabled email addresses and autoresponders will cease to operate. What are autoresponders?

Autoresponders are a great marketing tool and can save you time answering common questions. You can set up an autoresponder so that when a message is sent to, say, info@yourname.com, then your pre-written message is automatically returned to the sender. All our hosting packages allow you to set up an unlimited number of autoresponders, which can be done easily through our Control Panel.

Can POP users manage their own account settings?

Yes, they can. Our Control Panel allows all POP users to login and:

• Use WebMail, our browser-based email system
• Set up and adjust redirection settings
• Adjust their SpamBoxer anti-spam settings and view SpamBox messages
• Use our suite of tools to reset passwords, diagnose POP problems and clean up their mailbox
• Schedule eReminders
• Access our Tech Support Wizard and other online resources
